Cranium: It’s Real Fun Campaign
In early summer 2009, we held what we think was the world’s first social media casting call. We scoured Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr for anyone who was having a great time playing Cranium. Soon we were in contact with more than 12,000 people. Those 12,000 were culled down to 50 and those 50 people (plus their friends) became the stars of Cranium's “It’s Real Fun” campaign.
50 cameras. Zero directors. Zero actors. Just real, honest fun.
Anyone who’s ever played Cranium knows that it really is a ton of fun. So we decided to honor that real, honest experience by letting it speak for itself, and not let “advertising” get in the way.

The Cranium "It's Real Fun" campaign continued into 2010. This time, we cast entirely using our Facebook community, and with the opportunity to be the first to have some "real fun" with an updated game, the competition was fierce.
We sent out 100 cameras to 100 Facebook fans all around the world. Here's what we got back.
